The purpose of the day was to demonstrate the British Red Cross capabilities to other emergency services and to launch the new field hospital, as supplied by NBC Group. |

22 jun 2010 Operation Sea Lion – City Hospital Birmingham. NBC Group support Multi-Agency DayOperation Sea Lion was Nazi Germany's plan to invade the United Kingdom during World War II. To have had any chance of success, however, the operation would have required air supremacy over the English Channel. With the German defeat in the Battle of Britain, Sea Lion was postponed indefinitely on 17 September 1940 and never carried out. |
