In December 2007, NBC Group was awarded a 3 year Framework Agreement with NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency to supply mobile Decontamination shelters.

NBC’s shelters are currently used by the 13 Ambulance Trusts of England, Scotland and Wales as the National model of Decontamination for the Ambulance Service.

3m x 6m (SF18)
6m x 6m (SF36)

Features:

  • Pioneering aluminium frame system
  • Rapid deploy system requiring minimum personnel (ie SF36 can be erected in 5 minutes by 2 – 3 people)
  • No external power or manual Handling Equipment (MHE) required
  • Minimum pack down size means that minimum storage is required and the shelters can be easily transported to and from a scene
  • Fully adjustable legs to cope with uneven terrain (up to 300mm on each leg)
  • Designed to be deployed in high winds (up to 80mph)
  • Superior resistance to rain, snow and extreme weather conditions
  • All materials used are resistant, easy to wash/repair or decontaminate
  • Minimum maintenance required due to robust design
  • Modular doors at front and/or sides facilitates a ‘village’ set up
