NBC Group has developed the DECONTAINER™ as the latest advancement in mass decontamination units.

The system is divided into three compartments; disrobe area, wet decontamination area and re-robe/check area and is designed for ease of use, patient modesty, speed of deploy, and minimal training. With a 10 year life expectancy, the decontamination units are a truly cost effective alternative to traditional soft wall decontamination.

The new technology is currently being delivered to 16 health boards across Scotland; however, bespoke versions can be tailored to meet the specific needs of operational Fire Decontamination teams.

Decontamination Unit Sizes:

Small unit - 2.4m x 6m (DC15)
Medium unit - 3m x 6m (DC18)
Large unit 3m x 10m (DC30)

Decontamination Unit Features:

• 1 person can make operational in less than 3 minutes
• No heavy lifting involved
• Water system has four (6m) or eight (10m) detachable spray guns
• All walls within the decon cell are water tight
• Entry and exits are clearly marked with signs
• All internal lights are IP65 water resistant
• Standard entry and exit doors with barrel locks fitted
• 360° External Illumination (4 x 150w IP44)
• Two mechanical ventilation units
• Wall mounted heating panels
• Low point drain valve
• Lighter than equivalent sized ISO containers
• Modular units and so can be connected End to End or Side to Side with side doors if required
• The Decontainer is resistant to high wind conditions and is guaranteed against water ingress (assuming all maintenance procedures are followed).
